Bucktail tennis wins Mid Penn opener 4-1 over Muncy

MUNCY, PA- It was a hot one on Tuesday afternoon, but the temps didn’t faze the Lady Bucks tennis team, as they rolled 4-1 at Muncy.
Bucktail’s number one Alexis Lowery fought off Muncy’s Taylor Shannon 6-1, 6-2 to up her season record to 4-0 on the year.
Eva Sockman and Kendall Wagner remained undefeated in doubles by downing the Lady Indians’ Emily DePew and Lillian DePew 6-1, 6-1. T was also another strong showing from another undefeated doubles tandem in Kedda Bissman and Giada DeMarte.
The Lady Bucks duo improved to 3-0 on the season following their 6-1, 6-2 victory over Muncy’s Hayley Green and Savannah Thompson.
Bucktail also received a singles victory from Mak Wagner. Wagner disposed of the Lady Indians’ Brie Myers 6-2, 6-2.
Bucktail, now 4-0 and 1-0 in Mid Penn Conference action are geared up for their first major challenge of the season on Thursday when they host Mid Penn foe South Williamsport. The Lady Mounties enter the contest at 2-1 as of this writing. That match in Farwell is set to begin at 4 p.m.
