Lowery wins again, Bucktail doubles shine in 3-2 win over Cowanesque Valley

FARWELL, PA- Bucktail’s final tune up before they enter Mid Penn Conference play would be a tough task against another solid NTL school. This time it would be the Lady Indians of Cowanesque Valley taking the Lady Bucks to their limit on Thursday.

Bucktail would pick up victories from a pair of doubles teams and number one Alexis Lowery would win her third straight match. Lowery’s 6-3, 6-3 win over CV’s Kylee Stone would put her season mark at 3-0.

The Lady Bucks would drop a pair of singles contests, but their double teams would come up strong once again.

Eva Sockman and Kendall Wagner would down Cowanesque’s Chelsa Wattles and Kyra Campbell 6-0, 6-0. Kedda Bissman and Giada DeMarte’s 6-1, 6-0 victory for Bucktail over Kira Berdanier and Chloe Johnson would improve the Lady Bucks overall record to 3-0.

Bucktail will open Mid Penn Conference play on Tuesday when they travel to Muncy.
