Condo out as KCSD assistant superintendent
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – The Keystone Central School Board Thursday night voted to terminate the district’s assistant superintendent, Mark Condo. The termination vote was among a number of personnel items voted on, most related to the start of the new school year; all were done at a brief special board meeting.
The vote on Condo was part of a blanket board approval on a variety of matters, from employments to resignations to leaves of absence. The vote was unanimous from the six board members present and board members Polly Donahay and Wayne Koch who were online; board member Butch Knauff was absent. There was no board discussion prior to the vote and followed an executive session..
With Condo’s departure, effective immediately, the district is in the market to replace its two lead administrators.
Superintendent Jacquelyn Martin had announced earlier this summer she would be retiring at the end of her contract with the district, effective at the end of January of 2024; a search effort is underway to find her replacement. The board Thursday night directed the superintendent to conduct the search for a new assistant superintendent.
Condo had been a faculty member at Central Mountain High School for many years, then the school district’s human resources director until his recent promotion to assistant superintendent.
