Armed Robbery in Castanea

CASTANEA – There has been another late night armed robbery in the Lock Haven area. The most recent occurred Monday night about 10:30 p.m. at the Fuel On convenience store on Hanna Street in Castanea Township.

State police investigated and were reported on the case until 3 a.m. Tuesday and have not yet filed a report or issued a video camera surveillance shot of the robber. A store employee said the intruder armed with a sawed-off shotgun entered the store and demanded money from the female attendant; he escaped with an undetermined amount of money. It is understood police do have video of the robbery. More information will be posted in “therecord-online” as it becomes available. The robbery is in the fifth in recent weeks in the greater Lock Haven area.
