Boil water advisory for S. Jones/Mt Vernon Streets in Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN, PA – City government Wednesday posted a boil water advisory for city water customers at the south end of S. Jones Street and adjacent Mt Vernon Street. A Lock Haven public works crew repaired the leak at the two streets’ intersection.

The advisory is in effect until an all-clear is given:

The Residents of 7, 11, 13 & 17 Mt. Vernon St. and 200, 220, 222, 226, 228, 230, 240, 244, 246, 248, 252, 258, 262, 266, 278, 280, 284, 294,300, 304, 404, 406, 410, 428, 432 & 436 S. Jones St. may be at increased risk for Microbial Contamination. On Wednesday, August 9, 2023, we experienced a loss of positive water pressure due to line repair.

Residents should not drink the water without boiling it first. Bring all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using; or use bottled water. You should use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and food preparation until further notice.
