Lock Haven announces public work improvements on Bald Eagle and Race Streets
LOCK HAVEN, PA – A contractor this week began doing concrete work to provide ADA compliant sidewalk ramps at intersections along a stretch of E. Bald Eagle Street in Lock Haven. According to an announcement from City Planner Abbey Roberts, the work is being carried out by Big Rock Paving, LLC.
Paving work on Bald Eagle and Race Streets is to begin on Aug. 21. A city notice said the Bald Eagle Street work will run from Hanna Street to Mary’s Alley and on Race Street between E. Main and E. Bald Eagle Streets.
Roberts said, “The City of Lock Haven is delighted to share that this project has been made possible through the generous funding awarded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. This initiative aims to improve the quality of our streets and enhance overall accessibility and convenience for all residents.”
She said residents are encouraged to stay informed about the progress of the community project. You can sign up for project notifications (when the paving will begin, alternate routes, and off-street parking reminders) by visiting Lock Haven’s civil space page dedicated to the “E Bald Eagle Street & Race Street Paving Project.” (https://lockhavenpa.civilspace.io/en/projects/e-bald-eagle-street-race-street-paving-project).
She said, “Your understanding and cooperation during this period are greatly appreciated as we work towards enhancing the infrastructure of our city for the benefit of all residents.”
