Woolrich Store closing

WOOLRICH, PA – Operators of the Woolrich Store have posted word that the longtime Woolrich village fixture will be closing for good by the end of June.

While there has been no formal announcement, the store has posted word of a liquidation sale with a store closing date set for the end of next month:

Over the years, Woolrich has enjoyed the relationships with our customers and the community. We would like to thank all of our customers as we could not have been as successful as we were without your support and loyalty.

We would like to invite you to participate in our liquidation sale the weekend of May 19-21 at our Woolrich Pennsylvania store. Additional sales and liquidation events will continue through the store closing at the end of June.

Discounts start at 70% off select styles, sale will include apparel, fixtures, fabric, home goods and furniture.

Word of the store closing is the latest chapter in the local demise of what once was Clinton County’s oldest operating business and a major employer. Woolrich’s nearby manufacturing facility closed in 2018 and that building remains for sale.

Local economic officials were attempting to learn what plans Woolrich’s outside ownership might have for the Woolrich Store building.
