It’s Déjà vu for Lady Bucks

bucks-basketballMILLVILLE – Ending the week as it began, the Lady Bucks lost to Millville 58-43 on the road Saturday evening.

Bucktail struggled offensively against the Lady Quakers, the defending District 4 A champions.

Though the Lady Bucks kept pace with Millville in the first quarter, only trailing 15-13, it was middle of the action that saw the Lady Quakers pull ahead, leading 48-30 heading into the final period.

The Lady Bucks managed to chip away at the margin outscoring Millville 13-10 in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough to make a difference in the outcome.

Maria Morgan scored 18 points for Bucktail followed closely by Tiffany Werts with 12. Alaina Tripp netted 4 while Abby Ransom contributed 3 points.

Paige Sockman, Natasha Peck and Hailey Risley each scored 2 points for the Lady Bucks.

Next up, is a return trip to Columbia County to face CMVT on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
