Trump's Potential Indictment
Editor:
Trump believes he may be indicted in Manhattan, and he is warning the nation that such an indictment may spark widespread violence among his cult followers. But Trump is facing more than just one judicial proceeding. A grand jury in Georgia may also indict Trump for interfering with Georgia’s Presidential election results in 2020.
The Justice Department is also exploring criminal charges for Trump’s removal of classified documents from the White House to Mar-a-Lago.
Capitol police officers have filed four lawsuits against Trump for injuries they sustained during the violence that Trump incited on January 6, 2020. Former Elle magazine contributor E. Jean Carroll has accused the former president in one lawsuit of raping her in a New York department store in the mid-1990s. Carroll filed a second lawsuit against Trump under a New York state law that allows adult victims of sexual assault to pursue civil claims beyond the normal statute of limitations. In all, Trump is facing 20 lawsuits stemming from his actions while in and out of government!
Could all of these lawsuits be politically motivated? Trump’s fanatical, conspiracy-minded supporters believe so. Or could it be that where there is smoke there is fire?
If readers of this letter committed half these crimes, they’d be in prison already. Trump deserves the same treatment any of us would receive. Only the most gullible believers in Don the Con believe otherwise.
