CM Pounds Seals 57-52 (Photos Added)
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Wildcats did indeed shake off the rust of the holiday break by downing Selinsgrove 67-52 in their first action of 2015.
Central Mountain jumped out to an early lead with a 19-11 advantage at the end of the first quarter, though the Seals did outscore CM 14-12 in the second, the Wildcats still had a 31-25 advantage at intermission.
Selinsgrove once again outpaced CM 12-11 in the the third, then the Wildcats opened up the action in the final stanza 24-16 to widen the margin of victory to 12 points.
Once again, Wes Jolly led the ‘Cats in scoring with 21 points, followed by Alex Garbrick with 16. Brody Baker added 10 points with Nick Moore and Kyle Everhart each adding 5.
Cole Reeder netted 4 with Wyatt Bumbarger scoring 3 and Ty Meeker contributed 2 points to round out the scoring.
Next up for the Wildcats is a short trip down Rt. 220 to take on Jersey Shore Friday evening at 7:30 p.m.
