Central Mountain High School Mental Health Walk set for April
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Two Central Mountain High School seniors are hosting a second annual mental health awareness walk on April 28. Ashton Peters and Lela Vanartdalen said they are planning the event because of their shared experiences of watching people around them struggle.
“She’s had experiences within her family,” Peters said. “I’ve lost a best friend to suicide. Our primary purpose is to address the importance of mental health within our school. Suicide deaths among teenagers have been high lately. We’ve also partnered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), to which the money raised, will go.”
T-Shirts for this event are now for sale and can be bought by using the QR code on the event flyer or by visiting Rachel K Creations in Lock Haven.
