Search goes on as shelter in place directive in southern Clinton County is lifted

LAMAR TOWNSHIP, PA – The search was continuing Thursday morning for a suspect in a criminal offense in the vicinity of the Greene Township/Lamar Township line, state police lifting their directive for residents to that area to continue to shelter in place.

The Clinton County Department of Emergency Services issued this Thursday morning update:

Latest updated from the Pennsylvania State Police. They stated that the suspect has not been apprehended. Law enforcement is continuing to search and investigate leads at this time. The shelter in place has been lifted at this time. Any information about this incident, please call 9-1-1.

That posting came after state police issued a BOLO for a possibly armed man on the loose in southern Clinton County.

The “be on the lookout” notification went out after 9 p.m. Wednesday, some five hours after a shelter in place order had been issued along the Lamar Township/Greene Township line.

Greene Twp, Clinton County, PA – Lamar PSP is currently looking for a possibly armed suspect in connection with a robbery that occurred in Chester Hill, Clearfield County on February 6th . He was last seen on foot after crashing his vehicle around Overdorf Lane, Greene Twp; Clinton County, PA on February 15th at approximately 2:20pm. Suspect is a white, non-Hispanic male approximately 5’9” tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing blue jeans and t-shirt of unknown color and is suspected to be armed. If seen contact PSP Lamar at 570-726-6000 immediately.
