Community foundation awards $592K in grants
LOCK HAVEN, PA — Over 60 area organizations will benefit from more than $592,170 in grants awarded by the Clinton County Community Foundation for 2023.
Despite snow and ice, the Foundation board forged ahead with its annual meeting Wednesday afternoon at the Ross Library and chose the recipients from a pool of more than 70 applicants asking for a total of nearly $635,00 in grant funds.
Of the $592,170 awarded, $187,338 is previously committed to various causes, including $14,352 toward a multitude of scholarships.
Board President Alan Lugg Jr. chaired the hours long meeting, during which board members assessed each application.
“The mission of the Clinton County Community Foundation is to support Clinton County and the annual grant program does just that,” said Lugg. “From helping children to fire companies to our health-care professionals to playgrounds, to those in need and so much more, the Foundation is able to help because of the generosity of so many wonderful donors and volunteers.”
Recipients can expect an agreement letter prior to disbursement of the grants, Lugg said.
