Route 220/Auction Road Project Update

pdot2LOCK HAVEN – Phase Two of PennDOT’s Route 220/Auction Road project in Lamar Township is continuing through this winter, with the goal to provide smoother, more efficient travel through the area and have increased sight distance. PennDOT issues the following update for the week of Dec. 22.

No work will take place Christmas Day or the day after Christmas.

The contractor will continue to perform clearing and grubbing, ditch installation and pipe installation.

The contractor plans to continue installation of sewer line along Route 2008 (Fairground Road). Work may include reducing the roadway to a single lane with flaggers throughout the daylight hours. This could result in short travel delays.

The 10-foot width restriction through the project has been increased to 13-feet and will remain in effect until late 2015.

Drivers should remain alert for slow moving and stopped vehicles throughout the work zone.

All work is weather dependent.

Phase Two will feature the construction of the bridge and ramps on the western side of Route 220, adjacent to the Clinton County Fairgrounds. Overall work includes excavation, concrete piping, paving, sign structures, inlets, light poles, guide rail, and miscellaneous items. The contractor for the $12.4 million Phase Two project is HRI, Inc. of State College today.
