Bucktail tennis cruises past Towanda and Montgomery, Now 10-0

FARWELL, PA- Bucktail tennis is in the midst of a dominating week on the courts. The Lady Bucks continued their chase to the top of the PIAA District IV 2A standings this week with a 5-0 win over Towanda and a commanding 4-1 victory in Mid Penn play over Montgomery on Wednesday evening.

In the contest against the Lady Black Knights saw a clean sweep from Bucktail. Kayla Probert, Alexis Lowery and Bella English continued their strong singles play as the trio won their matches in two sets. Bucktail doubles overpowered Towanda (1-10) too, as Bucktail (9-0) won both contests.

Bucktail then headed for a clash in Farwell against defending MPC champions Montgomery on Wednesday. The match would be delayed due to rain and lightning and would resume around 6pm. Perfect timing for Bucktail to test out their lighting at their home facility.

The Lady Bucks would sweep the Lady Raiders in singles, ignited by a comeback win from Bella English over Montgomery’s Falin Reynolds 5-7, 7-6, (TB) 10-4. Probert and Lowery also notched singles victories as well.

Montgomery (5-5) would take a doubles match from Bucktail (10-0) to set the final at 4-1. The win improved Bucktail’s Mid Penn Conference record to 4-0.

The Lady Bucks are to clash with another MPC foe in St. John Neumann on Friday. Scheduled to take place in Farwell.
