Lady Bucks tennis avenge playoff loss, down Montgomery 4-1

MONTGOMERY, PA – To close out the 2021 tennis season, Bucktail fell 3-0 to Montgomery in the District IV 2A quarterfinals. On Wednesday afternoon on the road the Lady Bucks avenged their loss to the Lady Raiders with a 4-1 decisive victory over the defending Mid Penn Conference champions.

Kayla Probert and Alexis Lowery would pick up singles wins and the Bucktail duos of Eva Sockman and Gigi Balchun along with Kori Prebble and Kendall Wagner picked up victories.

“I am happy with the team effort. It was a good way to start the season,” ssaid coach Alison Heiser. “We now must prepare for Towanda and Wellsboro over the next two day.”

Bucktail (1-0, 1-0) will now step out of Mid Penn play for a couple days and make back-to-back long treks north to face old NTL foes Towanda and Wellsboro on Thursday and Friday.
