Start of new school year approaches; Central Mountain sets New Student Orientation for Thursday

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – The new school year is quickly approaching at schools across Clinton County. First up will be Commonwealth University-Lock Haven with students soon returning for the start of classes on Monday, Aug. 21.
Central Mountain High School has announced it will be hosting New Student Orientation Night on Thursday, Aug. 18 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The school will be open for new students and incoming 9th graders to see their schedules and walk through the building. School officials said they hoped to see the new students on Thursday; the first day of classes at Central Mountain and across the Keystone Central School District is Wednesday, Aug. 31.
Classes begin next week for several school districts: first day of classes for Lock Haven Catholic School and Sugar Valley Rural Charter School students is Wednesday, Aug. 24; and classes begin Thursday, Aug. 25 in the Jersey Shore Area School District.
