Roadwork continues in Clinton County

Mill Hall, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Clinton County Maintenance announces the following work schedule for the week of August 8 – August 12, weather permitting. Motorists should travel with extra caution in these and all work areas. Motorists should be aware that due to the nature of highway maintenance and emergency work, crews could be working on any highway at any time of the day or night.

Sign Repairs and Upgrades: 

  • Various State Routes throughout the County 

Shoulder Cutting: 

  • State Route:144 (Ridge Road)

Pipe Flushing: 

  • State Route: I-80 

Patching: 

  • State Route: 1014 (Hyner Road)

Shoulder Repair: 

  • State Route: 1003 (Little Plum Run Road)

Mowing: 

  • State Route: I-80

The following work is scheduled to be completed by contractor, weather permitting:

Nestlerode Contracting Company – Bridge Replacement

State Route:  64 Bridge Work – Traffic will be placed in the north bound lane of Route 64.  Contractor will saw cut bridge deck and begin demo or north bound lane of old structure.  Contractor will place stream diversion and finish 18” drainage pipe replacement in closed portion of roadway.  Flaggers will be present and temporary signals remain in place enforcing alternating traffic pattern.  Motorists are reminded to remain alert and cautious in this and all work zones. 

Township Route: T-433 (Harley Drive) in partnership with PennDOT Clinton County – Bridge Replacement – PennDOT will remove the existing structure, perform site excavation and place backfill once the new box culvert is set.  The contractor will set the new box culvert and perform final paving.  The detour will make use of Island Road (T-565), Stewart Road (T-428) and Route 150 (Woodward Avenue), and will remain in place throughout the project, which is expected to finish in mid-August.  Motorists are reminded to remain alert and cautious in this and all work zones.

Swank Construction – Bridge Preservation – State Route 1002 (Island Road) Dunnstable Township –General clean-up. We will continue to use daylight signing with flaggers to work on substructure repairs.

SR120 (Renovo Bridge) – Contractor will be working on substructure repairs.  Traffic will be one lane with temporary traffic signals.  Motorists are reminded to remain alert and cautious in this and all work zones.

M & B Services, LLC – State Route 150 in Lock Haven – All intersections from Commerce Street to Hanna Street.   Work includes removing old traffic signals, sidewalk work and painting crosswalks and stop bars (night work).  Crews will also be hanging signs on the new traffic signal poles. Motorists should be cautious in the area during daylight hours.  

Clearwater Construction, Inc – SR1001 (Farrandsville Road) – Removing trees along the river.  Motorists should be cautious in the area during daylight hours.

Glenn O. Hawbaker: – SR 120 and 1024 (Renovo Road and Fairview Street) – No updates were received for the week of 8/8 – 8/12.  Daytime single lane closures will be utilized for work to be completed.

HRI, Inc.:  Route 220, bridge over Fishing Creek just south of the Salona interchange – Work includes deck repairs, substructure repairs and general clean-up.  Traffic will be controlled with temporary traffic signals that will enforce an alternating traffic pattern.  Expect long delays and use alternate route if possible.
