WASHINGTON, DC – The AASA Learning 2025 National Summit, co-hosted with the Successful Practices Network (SPN), brought together over 1,000 educational leaders to highlight their work building future-focused capacity in alignment to the Learning 2025 Commission.  Learning 2025 calls for a holistic redesign of the public school system by the year 2025.  The Keystone Central School District was invited to showcase their work as a future focused school system. On June 29, Dr. Jacquelyn Martin, along with several members of the administrative team, provided a summary of the district’s leadership journey that began early in 2019.

The presentation was titled, “Developing Collective Leader Efficacy for Impactful Change.”  The hour-long session highlighted the district’s stakeholder-developed comprehensive plan, district initiatives, successes and challenges in the realm of instructional leadership.

Learning 2025 Co-chairperson Dr. Bill Daggett gave the following statement, “The Successful Practices Network and AASA, The School Superintendents Association, are excited to partner with Keystone Central School District.  Dr. Jacquelyn Martin and the leadership team have done an excellent job of building collective leader efficacy and creating system wide goals that ensure that all students in Keystone Central School District are successful.  We look forward to supporting the Keystone Central School District’s mission and the entire school community.”

In addition to sharing their story, participants heard from leaders from around the country who have attained the status of being a Lighthouse Demonstration District.  These districts shared the strategies that they’ve used in order to reach their goals, which allowed Keystone Central School District’s team to learn from the valuable experiences of other districts.
