Wildcat baseball district title game postponed to 6/1, moved to Wingate

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – With a Friday forecast for rain, District 6 announced on Thursday that the Central Mountain – DuBois Class 5A championship game, scheduled for Friday at PNG Park in Altoona, has been postponed. Instead, the game will be played on Wednesday, June 1 at 4 p.m. at Doc Etters Field at Bald Eagle Area High School in Wingate.

Central Mountain is 16-5 after its 5-2 semifinal win over Hollidaysburg earlier this week. DuBois (9-9) advanced to the title game with a 10-1 victory over Brashear of Pittsburgh.

Central Mountain is the defending district champion, the Wildcats a state semifinalist a year ago. DuBois comes into the contest off its win over Brashear, it’s first postseason victory since 2015.
