Route 664 east of Jay Street bridge closed Wednesday

LOCKPORT, PA – A short stretch of Route 664 is closed Wednesday morning as a PennDOT crew began work just east of the Jay Street Veterans Bridge on a pipeline replacement project.

PennDOT is replacing a drain pipe as part of infrastructure improvements prior to a resurfacing of Route 664 this summer from the Veterans Bridge to Mill Hill Road in Woodward Township; that work is tentatively scheduled for August.

A crew chief on the Wednesday morning work said if no problems are encountered, the project should be completed sometime Wednesday afternoon.
