Wildcat softball snares win #10 over Mifflin County

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – The Central Mountain softball team recorded their 10th win of the season with a 5-2 victory over Mifflin County at home on Monday.  Caitlyn Watson paced the Lady Wildcats at the plate going 3- for-3 and driving in a run.  Madison Hardy and Madisyn Wian added two hits a piece while Kelsey Burrows, Audrey Walker and Gracie Saar each had one hit.

Allison Lininger starting the game in the circle and pitched four innings and faced 20 batters. She allowed two runs on four hits with one strikeout and four walks.  Addie McKeague came in in relief in the top of the fifth inning and finished the game with twelve batters faced, three hits, two walks and five strikeouts.

Central Mountain returns to action Tuesday, at home against Shikellamy (7-3), on the road Thursday at Shamokin (3-3) and at Jersey Shore (6-3) on Friday. Coach Fred Caldwell’s team is now 10-1. Mifflin County falls to 3-6 with the loss.
