CM softball downs Selinsgrove, 11-0
SELINSGROVE, PA – The bats stayed hot for the Central Mountain Lady Wildcats as they racked up 13 hits to score an 11-0 win at Selinsgrove on Thursday. The win moved the Lady ‘Cats to 8-1 on the year and keeps them atop the Heartland Conference and District 6 Class 5A standings. The Lady Seals fell to 1-7 with the loss.
Caitlyn Watson led the offense with a 3 for 3 day at the plate. Sophie Mitchell continued her hitting streak with 2 home runs which drove in 5 runs. Allison Lininger and Kelsey Burrows each added 2 hits while Harley Kunes, Madisyn Wian, Addie McKeague and Gracie Saar recorded 1 each.
Addie McKeague was dominant in the circle, pitching the complete game shutout and allowing only 1 hit and 1 walk.
Central Mountain returns to action next Tuesday, April 26, hosting Shikellamy (4-2).
