State COVID case update
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Wednesday reported 574 new cases of COVID-19 as the state’s rolling one-week average of new cases fell to 677, its lowest number since July of last year.
The state reported 570 residents hospitalized, a decrease of 28 from Tuesday, representing 15 straight days of declining numbers and the lowest number since August of last year. Those in intensive care units numbered 99, up eight from the previous day.
Clinton County reported three new cases for a total of 9,020. Centre County added 15 new cases for a total of 35,011 and Lycoming County listed one new case for a total of 28,361.
The state reported 24 new deaths as the Clinton County figure remained at 124.
