Route 120 Nails opens in Farwell

With wedding and Prom season right around the corner, a new business has opened up shop in the western end of the county.
April Tennis followed her dreams and is the proud business owner of Route 120 Nails located in the old Record office at 12423 Renovo Road.
“I wanted to bring something new to a little hometown where there are not many businesses up here specifically for the ladies…all the time for Prom season or weddings people have to travel down the road to get their nails done and now with the high price of gas, people do not have to rethink their travel plans down the road,” April explained.
April always liked doing nails and studied Cosmetology in high school. “To be honest I am not really into hair, but it would be nice to have this possibility in the future so right now I will just be doing nails,” said April. “I will do my best to match what you see in a picture or whatever idea one may have for their nails and style.”
For a one person operation, April described an entire array of things she specializes in at Route 120 Nails. “I can do full sets, manicures and pedicures, acrylic, manicure with arm and hand massage, spa manicure, paraffin dip, gel polish, and regular polish to name a few,” April said. “For colors I have neutrals, brights, mood-changing, cat’s eye, darker – all sorts!”
And for those looking to be a rebel and let April do the choosing, she is more than excited to accommodate. “Some people have said to just surprise them with my color choice and design…I can do what we call an inlay which is a thin layer of acrylic with gems or a design on top, and then a thick layer of acrylic on top of that – it looks really cool,” April said, excitedly.
As for specials, April has been thinking and working out some new ideas. “I want to eventually do monthly specials, mani and pedi specials, maybe other package specials, but it’s all in the works,” she said.
“It is just me here, solo, so please be patient – I will get anyone who reaches out for an appointment!”
