The Race for a U.S. Senate seat Representing PA
Editor:
Wow, here we are in 2022 already. To Republicans, this is an important election year, I have heard concerns about Dr. Oz running for Senate. To be honest, I’m not crazy about voting for Dr. Oz myself. As Republicans, we are lucky, we do have other choices.
For instance, Kathy Barnette is running against Dr. Oz to represent Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate.
Kathy Barnette was raised on a hog farm in Alabama. Then she served a decade in the U.S. Army Reserves. Kathy is by no means a career politician. She is a wife, a mother, and she home schools her children. Kathy is a firm believer in school choice.
Kathy is pro-life. She says that every person has the potential to do great things during their lifetime on this earth. Kathy promotes alternatives to abortions and works to support parents to become independent and give their children opportunities to succeed.
Kathy Barnette would like to ban Critical Race Theory. She believes that CRT is evil. She believes that our children are being taught to hate each other due to skin color. CRT will make Americans racist again. Instead of focusing on combat readiness and a sound exit strategy out of Afghanistan, our military leaders are focusing on so-called “white rage”. This kind of neo-Jim Crow nonsense comes here with purpose: To destroy American institutions and replace them. We cannot allow them to be successful.
Kathy doesn’t believe in mask mandates and vaccine passports. The government forcing these things is not the answer. We need to trust the American people, give them good information to make good, well-informed decisions for themselves and their families.
Kathy not only supports the 2nd Amendment but she has had a concealed carry permit since 2015. Kathy believes that we need to secure out borders. Immigration should focus on benefiting Americans.
Including Kathy, there are at least 16 people who say they’re running on the Republican ticket for Pat Toomey’s Senate seat. People need to do their own research on all of the candidates.
Not that this matters to me, but if Kathy Barnette makes it to the Senate, she will be the first black Republican woman to represent PA in the U.S. Senate. You can meet Kathy Barnette at the Republican’s Lincoln Day Dinner on February 26th at 4 p.m. For tickets contact the Clinton County Republican Party.
