CM boys swim to first at Bucknell tri-meet

LEWISBURG, PA – The Central Mountain boys swim team competed in a Tri-Meet on Tuesday at Bucknell University against Lewisburg and Danville. The Wildcats continue to look impressive in the water defeating Danville 46 – 34 and ending in a tie with Lewisburg 42 – 42.

The Wildcats got the evening started with a dominant performance from the 200 Medley relay team of Owen Wunder, Jonathan Hughes, Leisher Gugino, and Jackson Walker. That set the tone for the evening and the boys continued to rack up points as the meet went on. The 200 Free relay team of Jonathan Hughes, Jackson Walker, Owen Wunder, and Leisher Gugino also were victorious on the night. Individual winners against Lewisburg were Leisher Gugino in the 200 Free and the 100 Breaststroke, Jackson Walker in the 50 Free, and Jonathan Hughes in the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke. Individual winners against Danville were Leisher Gugino in the 200 Free and the 100 Breaststroke, Jackson Walker in the 50 Free, and Jonathan Hughes in the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke and Owen Wunder in the 500 Free.

The boys are now 5-0-1 on the season. Their next meet is Thursday at LHU against Shamokin. The meet starts at 4:30.
