ATHENS, W.Va. – Following its most successful season since 2007, the Lock Haven University men’s soccer team pulled in more honors Tuesday from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). The Bald Eagles saw three players land on the D2CCA Atlantic All-Region teams.

Beckham Sibiski (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) and Samuel Hershey (Lancaster, Pa./McCaskey) were both named to the first team for the region, while Chase Tackett (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) earned a spot on the second team.

For Sibiski, the 2021 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Year, it marks his first time on the first team after he earned second-team honors in 2018. Sibiski ended the 2021 season tied for fourth in all of Division II at .63 assists per game, and his 12 total assists led all PSAC players. The midfielder added seven goals as well for a PSAC fourth-best 26 points.

The freshman Hershey also earned his spot on the first team after his breakout season saw him named the 2021 PSAC Eastern Division Rookie of the Year. Hershey led the Bald Eagles in goals and was second in the PSAC with 13. His nine assists fourth-best in the PSAC and his 35 total points were the second highest mark in conference.

For the 2021 PSAC first-team defender Tackett, it marks his first time receiving All-Region honors. The Bald Eagles senior commanded a stingy backline which allowed just 26 goals all year. The LHU defense allowed just 10.4 shots per game with just 5 of those being on target. Tackett consistently broke up opposing attacks for LHU and his distribution from the back helps the Bald Eagles retain possession and build attacks.
