Cause remains undetermined in death of Clinton County Correctional Facility inmate
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Clinton County Coroner Zach Hanna said on Wednesday there is no determination thus far as to the cause and manner of the Sunday death of an inmate at the Clinton County Correctional Facility.
In a statement from his office, Hanna said the “anatomical examination phase of the autopsy pathology procedure” for Jamie Lynne Jackson, 36, was completed on Tuesday. As standard practice, he noted, multiple additional specimen and toxicology testing will be performed in the coming weeks. He said the cause and manner of the death “will remain pending until the results of those tests are completed.”
The autopsy was conducted on Tuesday at the Mount Nittany Medical Center on Jackson, the Lock Haven woman charged with murder in the death of Anson Stover a year ago.
Authorities last Sunday had released word that the 36-year-old Jackson was pronounced dead at UPMC Lock Haven earlier that Sunday afternoon following what they termed a medical emergency. Jackson had been held at the Clinton County Correctional Facility while awaiting trial for the murder of the 9-year-old Stover in November of 2020. The Sunday statement said Jackson “reportedly experienced a medical emergency at the correctional facility” and was transported by ambulance to the Lock Haven medical facility. They said at the time there was no indication of foul play.
