Central Mountain sports: District 6 champions’ week; full coverage on therecord-online

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Three Central Mountain fall sports teams will be participating in District 6 finals this week, believed a first in school history.

The Wildcat football team, seeded number one, will square off against number two seed Hollidaysburg at 7 p.m. Friday at Mansion Park in Altoona. The Lady Wildcat volleyball team, a two seed, will play top-seeded State College Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Tyrone High School and the CM boys’ soccer team, a three seed, plays number one seed Hollidaysburg Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Altoona’s Mansion Park.

Michael Frank, owner/publisher of The Record/therecord-online, announced Tuesday therecord-online will provide live audio/video streaming of all three district title contests. He thanked the community sponsors for making the coverage possible for fans unable to attend the games.
