State COVID case numbers update


HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Sunday reported 3,114 new COVID-19 cases statewide, a second straight day of declining numbers.

The state said there are 2,754 hospitalized patients due to COVID-19, up 50 from Saturday. 653 are in an intensive care unit, down 11 from Saturday.

In Clinton County 12 new cases were reported on Sunday, bringing the total to 5,022. 12 is the lowest one day total since 11 were recorded on Oct. 19. Centre County saw an increase of 39 on Saturday to 20,698, while Lycoming County increased by 49 to 16,598.

The state Sunday reported 43 new deaths. The death count in Clinton County remained at 78 for the second day in a row.
