COVID case numbers update


HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Tuesday reported 3,742 new COVID-19 cases statewide, ending a five-day run of declining cases across the state.

The state said there are 2,798 hospitalized patients due to COVID-19, up 12 from Monday. 681 are in an intensive care unit, down two from Monday.

In Clinton County 14 new cases were reported on Tuesday, bringing the total to 4,889. The Tuesday total is the lowest since 11 were recorded on Oct. 19. Centre County saw an increase of 32 on Tuesday to 20,474, while Lycoming County increased by 56 to 16,209.

The state Tuesday reported 79 new deaths. The death count in Clinton County remained at 73.
