COVID case numbers decline statewide
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Monday reported 2,425 new COVID-19 cases statewide, the lowest one-day total since Aug. 30 and the fifth straight day the number of cases has declined.
The state said there are 2,786 hospitalized patients due to COVID-19, up three from Sunday. 683 are in an intensive care unit, up eight from Sunday.
In Clinton County 18 new cases were reported on Monday, bringing the total to 4,875. Centre County saw an increase of 13 on Monday to 20,442, while Lycoming County increased by 55 to 16,153.
The state Monday reported four new deaths. The death count in Clinton County remained at 73.
