Lady Bucks tennis falls in quarterfinals to Montgomery.

MONTGOMERY, PA – The Bucktail tennis team traveled to District IV #2 Seed Montgomery in the district quarterfinals Tuesday afternoon. While the Lady Bucks would rally with Montgomery, the visitors would lose 3-0, as the final two matches were pulled.  Montgomery would live up to their #2 ranking and put on a strong showing.

“The girls had a fantastic season and have been a wonderful group to coach.  I will greatly miss the seniors.  I look forward to next season and picking up where we left off with the returning players and new players. I would also like to say thank you to all the parents, families, teachers, administrators, and community, your support has meant a lot to the tennis program,” said veteran Coach Alison Heiser

The loss puts an end to an unbelievable run by the Lady Bucks.  This small team of eight players exceeded all expectations and completed a 13-3 regular season, with a convincing opening District IV playoff win over South Williamsport.

The Lady Bucks are still in action as Emma Poorman and Kayla Probert, as well as, Bella English and Alexis Lowery will be teaming up as doubles partners to compete in the District IV Doubles Tournament this Saturday, bracket and times will be released Wednesday evening.  Bucktail looks to have a strong showing in this tournament.
