Central Mountain Middle School closed due to “unforeseen emergency;” students sent home

MILL HALL, PA – The Central Mountain Middle School is closed Monday, due to what the Keystone Central School District is calling an “unforeseen emergency.”

The directive went out from the school district just as the school day was to begin. Students were being returned home Monday morning and middle school teachers were directed to go to the auditorium at nearby Central Mountain High School.

The district notification:

Due to an unforeseen emergency, Central Mountain Middle School will be closed today, October 11, 2021. Busses are returning students home at this time. Parent pick up will be at Central Mountain High School auditorium at 8:30 a.m. for Central Mountain Middle School students only. Remote learning will begin at 10:30 a.m. All Central Mountain Middle School staff are to report to the Central Mountain High School auditorium at this time.
