State COVID case update

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Sunday reported 3,907 new COVID-19 cases statewide.

The state said there are 2,899 hospitalized patients due to COVID-19, down 30 from Saturday.

In Clinton County 27 new cases were reported on Sunday, bringing the total to 4,574. The number of new daily cases in Clinton County this month has ranged from a low of 12 on Oct. 2 to a high of 33 on Oct. 3. Centre County saw an increase of 43 on Sunday to 19,891, while Lycoming County increased by 55 to 15,180.

No new deaths were reported by the state for the second day in a row; the death count in Clinton County remained at 71.
