Clinton County lags behind neighbors in COVID inoculations

HARRISBURG, PA – According to new numbers from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, Clinton County lags behind its neighboring counties in percent of fully vaccinated residents. The CDC figures show Clinton County with 44.4% percent of the eligible county population vaccinated. The Centre County rate is 59.3% and Lycoming County is at 54.5%.

Percent positivity rates for the three counties through Oct. 4 are: Clinton, 10.33%; Centre, 6.9%; Lycoming, 15.91%. The most recent statewide positivity rate, for the week ending Sept. 30, was 9.1%.

Statewide the seven-day moving average of new cases is up 7% from a week ago and up 39% over the last 30 days.
