Letter to the Editor

Editor:
I live in Shintown! I drive to Renovo frequently and appreciate the various roadside lots with their well kept lawns, shrubbery and trees.

Just East of Shintown there is an open piece of ground that is well kept. It has telephone size poles edging the property and the property always looks nice.

There are no vertical poles or signage to draw one’s attention to those poles lying along the property edge as presently that is not necessary. There lies my concern when the snow begins to fly!
Those poles would likely become covered with snow and become hidden or out of sight.

My concern is the unsuspecting driver who would pull over there not being aware of the poles lying there.
At the time, I find those lots aesthetically appealing as I am sure others do also. My concern is for the unsuspecting driver who unwittingly pulls over hitting those poles covered with snow.

I know they are there as do others. It is the unsuspecting driver that feels the urgent need to pull over and hits those hidden poles covered by snow.

ThanX! PEACE & Shalom,

Jan Mills, Sr.
Renovo, PA
