Fireworks set for Monday night to end 50th Jaycees Regatta

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The west branch of the Susquehanna Valley will be reverberating with the sound of fireworks Monday at 9 p.m. As it has been for the last fifty years, it’s the unofficial end of summer, fireworks at the Lock Haven Area Jaycees Labor Day Regatta.

To mark the 50th anniversary Regatta, the Jaycees have promised their biggest display of fireworks ever.

According to a Jaycee spokesman; “We and our fireworks company have the biggest shells we’ve ever safely planned to set off during the show. Please plan on packing the J. Doyle Corman Amphitheater after spending a great day of fun, food, live musical entertainment on the Jaycee stage at the intersection of Jay and East Water streets and meeting with old friends and making new ones.”

The third and final day of racing on the Susquehanna will end at 3 p.m. Monday. The Jaycees have been blessed with fine weather and the turnout has been overwhelming. Per the organization spokesman, “Hope to see everyone there for a day packed with smiles. We LOVE our community and showing those visiting how GREAT this local community and region is.”
