Shoe Bank to open Aug. 28

LOCK HAVEN — The Shoe Bank is open Saturday, Aug. 28 and ready to give free new sneakers or shoes to kids and teens up to age 18.

Families with children or teens who have CHIP, Access, or similar insurance may come in for free new shoes, socks, and books. Families must reside in Clinton County and/or the Liberty-Curtin Elementary School area.

The Shoe Bank is inside Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven, and is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The volunteers continue to follow COVID-19 precautions, so all must wear masks. (The bathrooms and fountains are closed.)

Remember to get an appointment ahead of time and to bring the kids’ insurance cards to every visit.
Call or text Diahann at 814-571-5324, Monday through Friday from 7-9 p.m., to book an appointment. If there is no answer, please leave a message and she will contact you as soon as possible.
