Dancin’ in the Streets: Lock Haven JAMS draws large Saturday crowd

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Saturday morning clouds burned off, the music started at noon and by the time Pittsburgh-based The Billy Price Band finished its Saturday afternoon set, it was nothing but blue skies and pleasant breezes for the remainder of the Lock Haven JAMS festival.

Various musical groups will be performing at two Pedestrian Mall venues through Saturday night, the porch area at the Lock Haven Elks Lodge and the temporary stage at Main and Grove Streets. The event concludes at 6 p.m. with a special Motown performance by Philly’s 10 piece York Street Hustle, playing until 8:30 p.m. In the meantime it is nonstop music as the Clinton County Arts Council presents its daylong Lock Haven JAMS featuring great music, great art and great food and great shopping opportunities from participating merchants too.

Multiple city restaurants have indoor seating but many are providing outdoor cafe seating in close proximity of the two performance stages. This gives visitors an opportunity to dine while listening to the music.

There are also a variety of juried art, fine craft and food vendors. Vendors include painters, potters, photographers and textile artists. Vendors will also be selling locally crafted condiments and a honey producer with a variety of unique products.
