Castanea Township stages successful first Community Day
CASTANEA TOWNSHIP, PA – Saturday was quite the day in Castanea Township as the township recreation committee staged its inaugural Community Day.

Courtesy Clinton County Visitors BureauThere was something for everyone, including a 5K Walk/Run on the Bald Eagle Valley Trail and an educational exotic animal show; Exotic Edventures, the exotic reptile and animal show, drew a large, appreciative turnout to the Castanea Fire Company on McElhattan Avenue.
The 1941 Restored Caboose at the Historic Railroad Complex was open for tours staged by the Clinton County Historical Society. In addition, the Clinton Central Model Railroad Club layout in the adjacent rail station drew a large response during tours.
The Recreation Committee consists of Chairperson Rick Schulze and members Brady Carnahan, MaryPat Dion, Christine Nestlerode, Mary Margaret Winton and John Gradel.
