Clinton 10s softball loses toughie

WILIAMSPORT, PA – The Clinton 8-10 softball team put up a battle Tuesday evening, but fell to Williamsport by a 4-3 score, ending their District 12 season with a 1-2 mark.

The Clinton team scored in the top of the sixth to tie the game at 3-each, but Williamsport was able to plate the winning run in the bottom of the sixth on a passed ball. The teams’ two pitchers combined for 27 strikeouts and nine walks.

Clinton Coach Chad Warren said his staff was well pleased with the grit displayed by team members in all three games. “This experience will help them be even more competitive in the years ahead.”

Team members are: Paityn Day, Adysen Eyer, Alexis Jolloff, Aubrey Miller, Addyson Peters, Mackenzie Peters, Unity Plowman, Rowan Rafter, Daisy Solomon, Zaylie Warren, Jasmine Weiss and Kassie Williams.

Assistant coaches are Phil Williams and George Plowman.
