Beech Creek Dollar General store closed

BEECH CREEK, PA – The Beech Creek Dollar General store at 455 Eagle Valley Road did not open on Tuesday and remained closed Wednesday morning. So far no one is saying why it is shut down.

On Wednesday the store’s lights were on inside, the shelves fully stocked but there was no one there; the front door was locked and no outside notice as to why the close down. The occasional customer stopped by Wednesday morning only to learn the business was closed. Nearby residents said it was their understanding the store was understaffed and could not get new employees.

A record-online phone call to the phone number posted on the store’s website went unanswered.
