Lady ‘Cat softball team comes home with road win over Mifflinburg, 7-2
MIFFLINBURG, PA – Shut down by Danville on Tuesday, the Central Mountain softball team bounced back nicely Thursday, a solid 7-3 win at Mifflinburg.
Freshman Adalynn McKeague went the distance in the circle, tossing an 8-hitter, striking out 10 while walking 1. She was backed by an 11-hit attack, up and down the Lady Wildcat line-up. Multiple hits, two each, came from Allison Lininger, Riley Houser and Gracie Saar; Houser and Saar’s hits including a double each. Singles came from Madison Hardy, Alyssa Fisher and Kelsey Burrows. In with doubles were Caitlyn Watson and Madisyn Wian. Houser drove in two runs, one each from Lininger, Hardy and Wian.
Central Mountain is now 5-1 with the win, Mifflinburg falling to 1-4 with the loss. The Lady Wildcats are to visit Hollidaysburg (1-0) on Friday, game time 4:30 p.m.
