Mill Hall Elementary to close down for a day due to COVID

MILL HALL, PA – Mill Hall Elementary will go to remote learning for Friday due to the number of COVID cases within the student population. Keystone Central School District Superintendent Jacquelyn Martin made the announcement Thursday afternoon:

April 15, 2021

Dear KCSD Staff and Families,

Throughout this week the number of positive COVID-19 cases among students at Mill Hall Elementary has increased to three positive cases and one additional presumed positive case. There are currently 18 students who are quarantined due to contact tracing.

Based on the number of cases this week, a school closure is necessary in accordance with guidance provided by the Pennsylvania Departments of Health (DOH) and Education (PDE).

Mill Hall Elementary staff and students will be on FULL REMOTE LEARNING on Friday, April 16, 2021. The building will be closed for sanitization and deep cleaning. We expect to return to regular instruction on Monday, April 19, 2021. We will update you if additional closure days are necessary.

Students will be bringing their individual Chromebooks home with them today so they can access remote learning on Friday. Students should bring the Chromebooks back to school on Monday. Students without internet access will be provided alternate learning activities.

Staff members who work at Mill Hall Elementary should follow directions from their supervisors regarding expectations for work tomorrow.

Please continue to follow all social distancing and safety protocols to protect one another,

Dr. Jacquelyn Martin
