LOCK HAVEN — A crew from local contractor HUC, Inc is working to put a lengthy section of 16-inch pipe into the Susquehanna River at the head of Boom Island. The pipe, foreground, is to replace a ruptured piece that a HUC crew is working to remove in waist-high water. The project is for the Suburban Water Authority, part of plans to run a 12-inch plastic pipe through the larger iron pipe which has been out of service. The line is a backup for the Suburban system, one that was knocked out a year ago. Record photo – John Lipez
