COVID-19 Update: Daily State Case Number Increases Again; Clinton Up 19; Centre Up 76; Lyco Up 116
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health Wednesday confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., December 30, that there were 8,984 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 631,333. That is the highest daily increase in cases in the last six days.
As of 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, there were 319 new deaths reported statewide for a total of 15,672 deaths attributed to COVID-19. The Clinton County death total due to COVID-19 increased by two to 24.
Local counties’ numbers: Clinton County, up 19 to 1,897; Centre County, up 76 to 8,910; Lycoming up 116 to 5,913. Other area counties include Cameron, 141; Clearfield, 3,956; Potter, 573; and Union, 2,850.
Thus far 7.343 Clinton County residents have tested negative for COVID-19, up 13 from Tuesday.
