COVID-19 Update: Clinton Up 25; Centre Up 97; Lyco Up 105

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health Thursday confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., December 24, that there were 9,230 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 590,386.

As of 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, there were 276 new deaths reported statewide (the second highest one-day total to date) for a total of 14,718 deaths attributed to COVID-19. Clinton County death total due to COVID-19 remains at 21.

Local counties’ numbers: Clinton County, up 25 to 1,741; Centre County, up 97 to 8,543; Lycoming up 105 to 5,335. Other area counties include Cameron, 129; Clearfield, 3,542; Potter, 514; and Union, 2,648.

Thus far 7.217 Clinton County residents have tested negative for COVID-19, up 30 from Wednesday.
