Citizens Hose Co. Serves Over 200 Free Meals
People lined up in South Renovo Monday to get a spaghetti dinner at Citizens Hose Company (Station 28). Members served up 231 free spaghetti dinners to the Renovo community in appreciation of their continued support.
Member Keith Tripp said people were lined up by 3:30 p.m., so they started handing out the meals early. He also said they had an anonymous donor help with the cost of the meals. Each car was allowed two meals. The meals were huge, containing meatballs, bread and dessert.
Citizen Hose Company is a small volunteer fire company, consisting of about 35 members. They provide fire and rescue service for South Renovo Borough, and surrounding areas.
